Reunions Events FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1) How far in advance should we start planning our reunion?

Your reunion date should be at least 6 months from today, preferably 12 months. This will allow us to locate and secure the venue, entertainment, caterer, and most importantly – your classmates! Out-of-town alumni need time to make travel arrangements. The more time we have to prepare for your reunion, the better the attendance will be. And isn’t that what reunions are all about?

2) Will the reunion Planning Committee be required to pay any upfront costs?

No. Blue Crab Reunions & Events will pay all upfront costs associated with your reunion. We simply ask that all Planning Committee members purchase a reunion ticket for themselves and their guest.

3) What is the Planning Committee responsible for?

Initially, we will meet with the Planning Committee to determine what their vision of the reunion is. The Planning Committee will decide how much they want to be involved in the actual planning. Blue Crab Reunions & Events requires a copy of the senior yearbook to scan yearbook photos for the personalized, colored name tags. We also require a copy of the graduation commencement program. Both will be returned within one week. We also ask for any known names and addresses of alumni and an agreement to attend all planning meetings or conference calls. Also, we love for the reunions to be as personalized as possible. Any memorabilia the Planning Committee can provide will add to the nostalgic ambience at the reunion.

4) How is the ticket price determined?

The ticket price includes all aspects of planning the reunion – venue, food and beverage, and entertainment. The ticket price also includes the printing and mailing of “Save the Date” postcards, invitations, and reminder postcards. The rest of the price includes event staffing, decor, classmate research, local and national advertising, personalized photo name tags, and production of the nostalgic slideshow.

5) I didn’t receive an invitation to the reunion. What should I do?

If you didn’t receive an invitation, we do not have your contact information on file. Please either contact us or locate your reunion on the “Reunion” page. You will find a link to update your contact information.

6) Will I receive a ticket to the reunion?

No, paper tickets will not be issued. Once you have purchased your ticket(s), we will send a confirmation receipt via email.

7) How can I find out who is attending the reunion?

Contact us and we will be happy to send a list of alumni who have RSVP’d.

8) My family moved away and I wasn’t able to graduate with my class. Can I still attend the reunion?

Absolutely. All alumni of a particular class are welcome to attend the reunion.

9) I didn’t attend the reunion. Can I still order a Memory Book/Class Directory?

Absolutely. Simply contact us to order a copy.
